I'm auditioning for Australian Ballet School and we have to take two photos (in 1st and in parallel) to send in with the application form.

On the letter it says that black leotards are not allowed for the actual audition or the masterclass.

Can I still take my audition photos in a black leotard?

  1. Since they didn't specify any colors or restriction, just applicant in practice clothes, then it is assumable it's okay. They did however specify on the audition attire, so with that, it confirms the first assumption of no restriction on colors. They just probably want to check your body shape with those photos.  If you can call them, it's always better to ask them so, you hear it from them. Break a leg on your audition!

  2. no. im auditioning and i didnt take mine in a black leotard.

  3. I'm auditioning too and I did not wear black in my audition photos. There must be a reason why they dont want you to wear black so just play it safe.Good luck

  4. i think so...they didn't specify a color for the photo, but better be safe then sorry....take it in your audition clothes...

AND if you take it in your audition leotard.they might remember you better.

Try a bright color....YELLOW of turquoise always works
