I've been doing ballet for 8 years. I just finished taking a jazz and lyrical class. Is there any other classes that I should take to help me improve on my dancing?

  4. there are so many dance styles, try them all!!!

hip hop, tap, i find middle eastern dances to be very beautiful.

also, you tend to learn things when you teach them, since your so experiences, would you consider being a dance instructor??

  5. I'm a professional dancer and my training is primarily ballet.  That's the only thing I've done my entire life, except this year I took ballroom and it really is amazing!  It's cohesive and fits perfectly into ballet, and I use the partnering skills I learn in pas de deux.  Plus, it's fun and builds stamina (also, since you're already a dancer, you'll be the best one in your beginner class!).  Ballerinas, it seems, make great ballroom dancers.  I suggest you try it!  =]

  6. Take some tap. And hip-hop. And pointe (if you are qualified). And maybe even some modern or musical theater. I definitely recommend musical theater, its really fun. Pointe is fun too. Brutal, but fun. If you take these, you won't just be a well-rounded dancer but the chances are that you will get a lot  better. Also, taking more than 1 class of each helps.

I take 3 ballet, two musical theater, and 2 pointe classes.

Its really helped me to improve.
