I am 5'3, 150lbs, and 12 years old!! AM I TOOOOO FAT TO DANCE??? ????

  1. You could very well lose weight by dancing.  Getting yourself moving is the absolute best thing you could do.  So even if you don't end up being a professional dancer, have fun and keep healthy with what you enjoy!

    don't stop yourself, get into class!  

  3. Don't let weight get to you. Weight is only important when you get into professional dancing.

    You will be absolutely fine. And guess what? The good news is....ballet is a great way to lose weight and get in great shape.

    Just eat healthy (and enough!...no eating disorders) and go to ballet classes. : )

  4. i am 12 years old too. i weigh about 130ish.. i am about 4'9 and i dance.  it doesnt matter how fat you are. if you like to dance then go for it. i'v seen some heavy-set girls in dance class before so you really have nothing to worry about.

    and anyway, dancing will help you lose weight!!!

  5. NOOOOO!!!!!

    I just took an intro ballet class for fun...and there were girls there of all sizes. It's a really good way to get in shape and feel beautiful, I wish all young ladies took ballet at some point.

    Take a class...have fun! :]
