  1. what you are talking about is "hyper extension" in the legs, which when en pointe gives you that familar S shape we see in professional dancers. it is pretty much something that you are born with, and i dont think you can try to give yourself hyper extended legs.

  2. Swayed back legs or "hyper extended" legs is genetic. You can't get it anywhere or work for it. You inherit from your parents. You either have it or you don't, unfortunately.

If you want to know if you have hyper extended legs, sit in a straddle on the ground. Lock your knees. If your ankles come off the ground without you intentionally doing so, you're hyper extended.

  3. Well I think your asking about hyper extended legs, the truth is your born with them or your not. The other truth is if you are a ballet dancer you don't want them. I have several dancer friends with hyper extended legs and it is very hard for them in class, they have to work very hard to not press back into their knees and to pull up their knees caps. They have trouble closing into fifth position  because since they don't have perfect 180' turnout their front knee pushes into their back knee and the can't  put their feet together. Hyper extended legs to look pretty but they are more trouble than they are worth and I don't know of a way to get them unless you are born with them.

  4. It's called hyper-extension, and most people are born with it because its kinda like being double jointed, you can't make yourself. Just practice ballet and get more flexible with stretches like splits. Hopefully you will be able to get it. Good luck!

  5. I have asked this question over and Over and OVER and the answer really is depressing.  I don't have them either.

You can't get them if you weren't born with them.  Not having them really makes everything just that little bit harder, I know, but the only thing to do is stick with it and keep your knees tight.

Now the good news: No one who knows anything will judge your dancing by your knee-type, if your legs are straight as they can be and aligned right.
