Ballet slipper sizes?

im a size 8 1/2 in womens street shoes.what would my size be in ballet slippers?

If you want to wear them with jeans you should get them custom made so they don&#039;t hurt your feet!!!!

Hey you shouldn&#039;t get ballet shoes to wear just cause you think they are cute you should get them for DANCE, actually pointe.

Excuse me but me being a ballerina suggests you get a pair of flats that have ties on them. And Macy&#039;s does not carry any type of ballet shoes, you need to order them at a speciality store. Even if you don&#039;t want them for pointe, you have to get them custom made so they will fit your feet.

I wear pointe shoes, and without knowledge of ballet you will break something, plus you will look weird to anyone who does ballet.

Now, if you think that you can wear them, you will break you ankle or almost all of your toes, especially if you don&#039;t take ballet.

You will look like a freak....

It depends on what ballet shoes you are getting.  I use

Blocks and i wear and 8.  In street shoes I wear an 8 1/2.  The ballet shoe sizes are similar to what shoe size you would normally wear.

I suggest going to a shop, and trying some on.

Seriously, the sizes are weird with those shoes. Sometimes up to a size or two bigger than your regular size, soemtimes smaller.

probably 7 1/2.

the reason is the leather on the shoe stretches when you sweat, making it a size biiger. just ask to get fitted att he dance stroe, they will help a lot more then any of us.

if you are looking to buy a pair of real ballet slippers (for class....as opposed to fashion ballet slippers) then generally they are sized about 2 or 3 sizes smaller than your street shoe. naturally you will want to try them on and walk around in them because wearing a shoe that is too small will cause your toes to become deformed. you can either sew on elastics or ribbon, depending on what your ballet school recommends.
