Ballroom dance partner?

How can I find a ballroom dance partner online in my local town? There are ballroom dance lessons where I live, but I don't want to go alone and my boyfriend doesn't want to go with me. He said he is not jealous anymore and he doesn't care if I take ballroom dance lessons.

  1. I suppose it's possible that things work backwards in your home town from the rest of the world, but the general way to do this is to take the lessons, then find a partner. Or don't find a partner. There is no requirement that you have a steady partner unless and until you get into competitions.

In group classes, most studios have the ladies rotate and dance with each of the men in the class. And of course you'll be dancing with your instructor in private lessons.

I think you'll find that after only one or two trips alone, you'll find your concerns are unfounded.

  2. There are many sites in finding dance partners but it depends on where you live.

    UK:

    http://www.dancingpartners.net/

    http://www.dancedating.uk.com/

    Australia:

    http://www.sportsmatchmaker.com.au/sport...

    http://www.vicrock.com.au/community/show...

    All:

    http://www.dancepartner.com/

    http://www.cerocaustralia.com.au/pdf/par...

    http://www.artrhythms.com/Dance_Partner/...

You could also look in your local newspaper or magazines for adverts on ballroom dancing partners. You could also Google "______ ballroom partners" and put in the name of your town.

Hope I helped and good luck!
