How are snooker and pool balls made?

a metal ball coated in a solid shell. not sure what the shells made from.

The phenolic resin balls are cast, cured, and polished.  It's actually a 13 step, 23 day process, but the details remain hidden at the factory. Check out the link.

i think its from a bone - im not sure but you could go to youtube and write in how to make snooker balls.
