Ballybough Gorta favourite for Hot To Trot Racing Club 2013 Handicap Chase
Ballybough Gorta will look to continue his solid run of form in the Hot To Trot Racing Club 2013 Handicap Chase at Haydock in England on Wednesday, October 31, 2012. He has been delivering some terrific results for his team over the past few months and it
will be difficult for his opponents to prevent him from taking the top spot.
Things will not be easy for the young runner, as he will be up against some decent challengers in the class-3 encounter. All of them will be fighting for a cash prize of £5,848 in the end.
There has been some rain at Haydock over the past few days, but it has not affected the track badly. The going will be good to soft and the participants will be hoping that the conditions improve before the start of action at 15:20 GMT.
All seven stallions will have to be extremely fit in order to compete over three miles. There will be a lot of stress on their legs and they will need to be careful on the rain affected ground at Haydock.
Although, the competition is expected to be a tough one, the bookmakers have given pretty decent odds to Allanard, who will definitely enjoy the good to soft conditions today. He has got some useful experience and has been performing well in recent times,
which will help him get the attention of the punters in the end.
The eight-year-old gelding has participated in 25 events until now, but has been unable to maintain a very good winning percentage. He has just been victorious on four occasions and will need to improve his overall record in order to gain the confidence
of everyone.
On the other hand, Ballybough Gorta does not have a lot of experience compared to his main rival, yet he is in a great position to come out as the winner in the end. There have been only a few times, when he failed to finish amongst the top-three.
Overall, the Peter Bowen’s trainee has earned four victories out of 11 attempts, which shows that he has the ability to fight for the top position with consistency. He has enjoyed a lot of success under jockey, Jamie Moore, who will once again be accompanying
him today.
