Ballybunion Rose bidding for a hat-trick in the Owners Bonus Series – Heat 3

The third heat of the Grade A1 Owners Bonus Series has brought together Cusco, Ballintotty, Pundit Watch, Ballybunion Rose, Westmead Meteor and Poirot for grabbing the £145 prize money. The race will be staged by Hall Green over 480 metres flat on Saturday,
11th August. Three of the contestants have posted success just through their last outing while the rest are attempting to achieve that.
Scarty Lad’s daughter has been successful in five out of the eight races that she undertook during the new season. Her seasonal debut was in a 480 metres race at Hall Green on 9th May, 2012. She settled as the runner-up as the race was won by,
Shes A Gallery, in 29.32 seconds.
The two-year-old black b***h then fell into a form that right away got her a hat-trick. There was no training or drilling session that aided what she accomplished next.
The final leg of the hat-trick was in a 480 metres race at Hall Green in 7th July, 2012. She won by the margin of 4 ½ lengths after concluding the race in 29.22 seconds. Finishing the race the closest behind the winner was, Droopys Steve.
Even after achieving the milestone, her conviction and confidence in the next two races wavered as she ended fourth and then second.
On 25th July, 2012, Ballybunion Rose won the Grade A2 480 metres flat race at Hall Green. Breaking into an early pace after exiting the fourth gate, and then leading from the third slot got the two-year-old the race in 28.89 seconds.
Her lead of just half a length saw Westmead Sarah missing the chance and ticking the race in 28.93 seconds.
The G. Ballentine then took charge of the Grade A1 480 metres flat race on 1st August at Hall Green. Following her usual style, Ballybunion Rose set into an early pace, went wide after racing in the middle and then did not take long for taking
the lead. She took 29.15 seconds for getting to the other end of the wire and won by the margin of ¾ of a length.
Settling the closest after the winner was, Pharaoh Loch.
