Ballymac Brian in form of dominating the Online Bookings @ The Cross 525 Semi-Final at Harold’s Cross
The Grade A2 Online Bookings @ The Cross 525 Semi-Final will be hosted by Harold’s Cross over 525 yards flat on Friday, 15th June. Contesting for the €50 are Brewers Cross, Ballymac Brian, Tullaloon, Jonnyfortycoats, Spiddal Marco and Fast Transfer.
Leading with the most appealing credentials from among all the contestants is Ballymac Brian, Ballymac Maeve’s two-year-old brindle son out of b***h, Ballymac Bride.
His entry into the season was marked with four training sessions at Shelbourne Park over 525 yards. The 29.29 seconds that he took on 7th March got to 29.19 seconds by 29th March.
His career debut was in the Shelbourne Open Unraced 525 Semi-Final on 5th April at Shelbourne Park over 525 yards. The winner timed the track distance in 29.13 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Tyrur Gilmore, by ¾ of a length.
The runner up timed the distance in 29.19 seconds and was soon followed by Melodys Lucky. The 4/6 favourite of the race, Allen Master, ended fourth.
He failed in the next two tries, suffering through a fifth and a fourth position. His first success of the season surfaced on 28th April. He timed a 400 yards track distance at Musselburgh in 21.62 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Snazy
Master, by a good nine and a half lengths.
He was declared not raced in his very next try on 1st May at Harold’s Cross over 324 yards. The race was won by Rathdaniel King who led the track by one and a half length.
On 15th May he won the Grade A3 The 2012 D.G.O.B.A Dublin Cup A3 525 Round 1 Heat 4 at Harold’s Cross over 525 yards. He reached the other end of the wire in 29.31 seconds and led the 2/1 joint favourite runner up, Ballymac Tie, by three lengths.
His failure in the next two races made the trainer, T. Bolton, drill the two-year-old over 324 yards at Harold’s Cross on 8th June. He was done racing in 17.73 seconds.
Right out of a training session gives him the edge of the highest of the chances today to make the most out of the race.
