Ballymac Denis seeking further success through the William Hill Hotbox Bet at Wimbledon
The William Hill Hotbox Bet has been able to assemble a highly talented line-up for the race that will be held over 273 metres flat at Wimbledon on Tuesday, 15th May. Contesting for the £500 are Jimmy Lollie, Droopys Pharaoh, Ballymac Denis, Lil
Risky, King Scotty and Swabys Tony.
The most promising entry for the race is Ballymac Denis, Ballymac Maeve’s three-year-old brindle son out of b***h, Ballymac Peg. Out of the six times that he has raced during the new season, Ballymac Denis has won four times.
His season took off with a 264 metres drill at Monmore on 14th February which the three-year-old raced through in 15.45 seconds.
He claimed his seasonal debut, the Ladbrokes.Com 264 – Division I at Monmore by timing the track distance in 15.43 seconds. The 11/10 favourite winner led the runner up, Bachelor Duke, by two and a half length.
The runner up took 15.63 seconds and was soon led by Clonlost Michael.
The 6/4 favourite then won the Ladbrokes.Com 480 (Division I) on 15th March at Monmore by timing the track distance in 28.83 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Swan Storm, by half a length.
Coming at terms with the third position was Melodys Express.
Ballymac Denis’ third seasonal victory was in the Ladbrokes Sprint on 18th April at Hall Green over 258 metres. The 11/4 favourite of the race reached the other end of the wire in 15.12 seconds.
Finishing the closest was Fernhill Jess who timed the track in 15.48 seconds after leaping through the four and a half lengths by which the winner led.
Settling third in line behind the winner was Clomantagh Rock.
5th May had him drilling over 480 metres at Hall Green and he accomplished the task in 28.77 seconds.
Ballymac Denis’ till yet last win was in the Stadium Bookmakers Standard on 10th May at Oxford over 450 metres as the 7/4 favourite timed the track distance in 26.83 seconds. The winner led the runner up, Melodys Express, by two and a half lengths.
He has raced just once after the training session and that start too resulted in a win.
Tonight he will bag the fifth win of the season.
