Ballymac Eske likely to dominate Ladbrokes.com 480 Puppies Trophy Final
Ballymac Eske is likely to dominate proceedings in the Ladbrokes.com 480 Puppies Trophy Final at Monmore in England on Thursday, July 5, 2012. The owners of the winning greyhound will get a cash prize of £400.
The 480 metres flat race will be quite an interesting one, as there are some young and promising runners scheduled to take part in it. However, there is a solid chance for Ballymac Eske to finish on top of the table today, as his performances in Grade OR events have been quite impressive.
The B. Draper’s trained hound does not have a lot of experience, but that does not matter much, as all of his opponents are also inexperienced at this level, which will even things out at the end of the day.
The fawn dog debuted in March this year and took part in a few trail runs at the start. His performances in them were quite good and it was pretty much clear that he was ready for the real action.
In his first Grade OR outing, Ballymac Eske was given the best odds for victory, as he appeared to be in terrific shape. Despite being crowded at the start, he showed excellent skills to take the top position by one length. He went onto win his second race in a more convincing fashion, as he did not allow anyone else to come closer from the start until the end.
Burnpark Champ’s son out of Burnpark Penske was given a starting price of 4 to 7 back then and he stormed to the top by eight lengths. This proved that he was going to become one of the best in the business.
However, the young hound was unable to complete a hat-trick of victories, as he finished sixth in his third outing in this class. His start was not clean and he hit the rails, which forced him to settle at the bottom of the order.
Despite an unfortunate ending to his third race, Ballymac Eske came back strongly in his next outings. It will be extremely difficult for his rivals to match his speed at Monmore today. He is carrying the winning momentum, as he was victorious in his previous race at this venue.
