Ballymac Henry hot favourite for April Dash Dup
Ballymac Henry is expected to dominate proceedings in the April Dash Dup at Henlow in England on Thursday, April 26, 2012. The winner of the 277 metres flat race will be given a cash prize of £150.
The Grade OR event is scheduled to start at 20:00 GMT, which has attracted six quality hounds. Their names are as follows: Ballymac Henry, Blackrose Slick, Salacres William, Lost Patch, Society Bolt and Ballybrazil Polo.
Looking at the current form of Ballymac Henry, the bookies have awarded him with very good odds. He is a veteran runner and is carrying terrific momentum at the moment. This will definitely encourage the punters to place a lot of bets in his favour.
The J. Battley’s trained runner has managed to win a couple of races out of his past four attempts, which shows the kind of form he is in at the moment. He is a regular at Henlow and seems to like running at this venue, as it has mostly brought good
luck for him.
In his last two appearances, the black dog proved to be completely dominant, as he finished on top of the table. He is a very good starter, which helps him produce great results in the shorter distance events. He is expected to complete a hat-trick
of victories at Henlow today.
Ballymac Henry is the son of Ballymac Maeve out of Ballymac Angel and was born in July 2008.
Another runner, who has won decent odds for the race, is Blackrose Slick. Although he is a tough competitor, his performances in recent times have been a touch inconsistent. This will discourage the bettors from risking money in his favour.
The E. Cantillon’s trainee took part in a T3 event recently, but was unable to challenge his opponents. He will need a strong effort in order to fight for victory today, as the level of competition is quite high in this class.
Blackrose Slick is the son of Ballymac Maeve out of Riverside Bella and was born in April 2009.
Salacres William and Lost Patch will be the other ones to watch out for in the race at Henlow. They are quality runners and might spring a surprise in the end.
