Ballymac Pet, the one to beat in Williamhill.com Grand Prix - 2nd Semi-final at Sunderland
Ballymac Pet is a tough sort to pass, when getting on bunny. After an excellent first round success, the black b***h is brimming with confidence and has a very good chance of blitzing the opposition in the Williamhill.com Grand Prix - 2nd Semi-final at Sunderland
on Saturday, July 07, 2012.
After staying out action for a few months, the black b***h returned to the track at the end of last month. The opening round of the Williamhill.com Grand Prix saw her demonstrating a very good show, sealing the top position by a head’s distance.
She impressed everyone by stopping the clock in 39.85 seconds. M. Dartnall’s trainee is facing a lot tougher opposition this time, nonetheless, she cannot be ignored especially after her last good performance.
The b***h is all set to face a star-studded line-up, which includes Dixies Air, Granard Bound, Anfi Gem, Swift Reagan and Elwick Ghost. The 640 metres race is scheduled to begin at 19:54 GMT.
Dixies Air made an impact over six bends and holds an obvious chance tonight. In the previous round of the championship, the black dog missed the crown only by a head’s distance. He is expected to come up with an improved effort this time around.
Anfi Gem will stick to the task throughout. C. Redden’s charge was third behind Ballymac Pet in the last round. Facing the same opponent might put the hound under some pressure.
Elwick Ghost needs to make an early bid for glory. The white dog is coming into this race following a comprehensive win last time around. He defeated Nyla Fantasy by three and a quarter lengths to grab the winning prize.
Granard Bound was an unlucky loser in the first round, as he missed the victory by a short head’s distance. Swift Reagan, on the other hand, needs others to err.
Ballymac Pet defeated two of these opponents in the previous round. So, she will be full of sprit for today’s battle. According to our calculations, no one will be able to stop her from storming into the grand finale. Good luck to all the runners.
