Ballymac Sicily in form for the Terrible Twins Trophy
The two-year-old, Ballymac Sicily proves to be an exceptional entry for the Terrible Twins Trophy. The race will be held over 475 metres flat at Hove on Thursday, 9th August. The prize money set for the race is £150 and it will be contested by
Jaytee Tiger, Droopys Falcon, Ministry Missile, Pams Tomjo and Leos Options.
Ballymac Bull’s daughter raced just once during the previous season and under took all the remaining outings in the current season. The worst ranking that the two-year-old has suffered through is, fourth. Her outings are almost equally distributed between
the Shelbourne Park and Hove.
The seasonal debut of the J. Heath trained was in the Shelbourne Open Unraced 525 Round Heat 3 on 15th March, 2012 at the Shelbourne Park. The black b***h took off from the second stall and led from the first spot concluding the race in 29.33
seconds.
Leading by a slight neck’s margin, she set Millbank Rose as the runner-up.
Lacking the form in the next two races made her end up with a fourth and a third position.
Ballymac Sicily then won the Healthcare Transport Services Oaks Round 1 Heat 4 on 12th April, 2012 at the Shelbourne Park. Setting into an early pace after breaking out of the fifth trap and then dominating the track from the first position had
the race rested in 29.47 seconds. Winning by the margin of just half a length saw Abbeys Twinkle settling as the runner-up.
Another victory post and a training session on 16th July, 2012 at Hove over 515 metres guaranteed him the upcoming hat-trick. The two-year-old raced through the distance in 30.76 seconds.
The most recent success of the two-year-old out of, Ballymac Peg, was in the Coral.Co.UK Maiden 475 on 5th August, 2012 at Hove over 475 metres. She raced by the rails, switched to the middle and then led just near the line concluding the race
in 28.06 seconds. Missing the race due to short head’s difference was, Britania Skips.
Her chances for being the first one through the wire tonight are 10 to 1. Keeping a check on the competition and speed will help her maintain the form.
