Ballymac Syras set to sizzle at Yarmouth – Bonus Series (Heat 1) Preview
Yarmouth greyhound racing track will host Owners’ Bonus Series – Heat 1 at 19:06 tonight, February 22. The Grade A5 race of 462m Flat distance has just £60 of prize money.
Following six hounds are set to show their guts in the contest:
1: Ballymac Syras
2: Safepac Typhoon
3: Melgin Ella
4: Attaboy Alfie
5: Keobro
6: Rays Impact
Ahead of the race, we present here a brief preview based on the key career records and salient skills of each of the runners in a bid to guide the bookmakers to move wisely in the market.
Ballymac Syras
Following her 4-lenght clean victory in December 2011, the white and black b***h won two consecutive races during January 2012. In the first half of the calendar month, the trainee of E Samuels finished 4th and 5th in two different contests.
The daughter of Ballymac Maeve out of Poma Bocka possesses immense talent but she is somewhat inconsistent. In tonight’s race, she has 80 percent chances to finish first.
Safepac Typhoon
P Witchell’s black and white dog has not won any race since October 1, 2011. This long lean patch has shattered his confidence badly. As a whole, he has a poor track record. Thus, he is not going to make any impact even tonight.
Melgin Ella
Since the dawn of 2012, the M Shields-trained black b***h has bagged two decent victories each in January and February. The novice runner won a big race by 7 ¾-lenght margin during December 2011. The two-year-old has been doing well since her debut in September 2011.
The daughter of Bruce Ali out of Rusheen Ella is expected to perform nicely again tonight, having 75 percent chances to win.
Attaboy Alfie
B Everett’s black and white dog finished first narrowly in his last race on February 13. Prior to this, he achieved a decent victory in December 2011. Overall, the veteran runner has been greatly inconsistent throughout his career. If he manages to capitalise well on his fresh form, he has 70 percent chances to thrive tonight.
Keobro
Since August 17, 2011, the white and black b***h has won just one race. Her last victory came on February 6, 2012. However, she finished 5th in a successive race. Like the above hound, the trainee of J Craske too has been an irregular winner in her career. As far as tonight’s contest is concerned, her chances to win are as low as 40 percent.
Rays Impact
The E Samuels-trained black dog has been winless since November 14, 2011, losing his confidence badly. However, the three-year-old had an amazing hat-trick during July 2011. Currently, he seems to be totally off-coloured. He will not be able to do well in the coming race.
Conclusion
In the light of the above analysis, it is concluded that Ballymac Syras and Melgin Ella are going to have a tough battle for victory at Yarmouth tonight. Out of the dashing duo, Ballymac Syras has higher chances to win. Let us get ready for the action. Good luck to all the runners.
