Ballymac Vic – Performance Review - 2012
Ballymac Vic has been performing really well since making debut in greyhound racing and he is definitely a bright prospect for the future.
The young hound has been delivering some excellent results for his team at different venues and has been competitive on most of the occasions. He has been running in Grade OR events from the start of his career and is not afraid of taking on even the best
in the business.
Dowling’s trained dog first appeared onto the scene back in March this year and surprised one and all with a splendid run. He was sent into a Grade OR event straight away and was up against some fierce competitors.
Despite that, the brindle dog handled pressure with ease. He felt comfortable, as if he had been racing for quite some time. The most impressive thing was his margin of victory, which was three and a half lengths.
He was up against Airforce Diva in his first ever race, who also had a pretty decent time this season. She took revenge in her very next race, beating Ballymac Vic comfortably under similar circumstances.
However, the latter hound did not panic at all and kept on working hard with his team. After finishing third in the second race of his career, he did a couple of training sessions before reappearing with another OR victory to his credit.
The next couple of events were not fruitful for Ballymac Vic, but he did not give up and bounced back strongly afterwards.
Kinloch Brae’s son out of Ballymac Vicky gained a very decent momentum through the mid season and started winning races with consistency. He managed to record a hat-trick of victories at the highest level, which helped him earn a lot of respect amongst his
rivals.
However, he got carried away with success and struggled in a couple of more events. This forced his team to send him in a couple of more training sessions, after which he will definitely return with a bang.
Ballymac Vic is a quick learner and he will definitely end the 2012 season on a high. He will then look forward to the next year, which will be quite an interesting one for him and his followers.
