Ballymac Vic tough to beat in 2012 Ladbrokes Irish Greyhound Derby Round 2 Heat 4 at Shelbourne Park
Ballymac Vic is in such an excellent form these days that his rivals will find it really difficult to stop him from bagging the top prize in the 2012 Ladbrokes Irish Greyhound Derby Round 2 Heat 4, taking place at Shelbourne Park on Thursday, August 9th.
Winning three of previous five races shows how good shape Ballymac Vic is in. He did not collect much embarrassment on the other two occasions, as he was second on the chart.
The audience saw him displaying an extraordinary show in the opening round of the Derby, when seizing the first place by six and a half lengths. After so many good performances, the son of Kinloch Brae is pumped up with confidence, and there is no reason
why he should not come up with a solid show.
Among his opponents are: Droopys Cain, Airforce Frankie, Tyrur Wozniacki, Hot Pursuit and Lisnakill Jack.
Airforce Frankie’s inconsistent run is a huge concern for the punters. The black dog often loses his rhythm after clinching a handsome victory. A chance can be taken on him, but trusting him blindly is not the way to riches.
Hot Pursuit is also not one of the regular winners. The black dog won an A1 race in late May, but could not continue his winning journey thereafter. Sealing an emphatic win at this level is a very hard task for him.
Droopys Cain is not in fine fettle these days, but his experience and class are tough to ignore. In his penultimate trip, he was fifth behind Confident Rankin. He brought things under some control by demonstrating a decent performance last time, but could
only secure the runner-up place.
Tyrur Wozniacki produced a shocking result last time, beating Hot Pursuit by half a length to grab the victory. On the other hand, Lisnakill Jack is in very poor form these days.
Tyrur Wozniacki has recently proved his ability to spring up a surprise. Nevertheless, it would be very hard for him and the rest to outclass Ballymac Vic, who is in superb form now a days. We wish the best of luck to all the runners.
