Ballyoliver favourite for the Kingspan Insulation Flat Roofing Handicap Chase
Ballyoliver has won the best odds for winning the Kingspan Insulation Flat Roofing Handicap Chase at Chepstow in England on Thursday, March 22, 2012. A cash prize of £3,054 has been set for the race winner.
The going is expected to be good to soft in the 3 mile long race, which will really test the stamina of the runners. 12 entries have been confirmed for the event, which will start at 3:10 GMT, and their names are: Ballyoliver, Bounds And Leaps, Canal Bank,
Magot De Grugy, Massini Sunset, Notabotheronme, Cerium, Derawar, Otter Mist, Cold Harbour, Shannons Boy and Sandhurst.
Ballyoliver has been doing well recently, thus the bookmakers believe he will be able to deliver a strong performance today. His strike rate in chase races is not much impressive, as he has won just one out of five outings. However, he has secured one runner
up and a couple of third place finishes as well, which suggests that he has the potential to fight for the top spot.
The eight-year-old gelding ended up third in his most recent outing, thus he is in good momentum at the moment. He was the favourite to win that event though, which might discourage the punters from placing more bets on him today.
Venetia Williams’ trained runner will be partnered by Aidan Coleman, who has a very good record in races while chasing. He has won 118 of such events and will be hopeful of delivering another strong show at Chepstow today.

Other than the top two favourites, Canal Bank, Magot De Grugy and Massini Sunset will also be the ones to watch out for. They are fully capable of fighting for race victories, but will need to be flawless in order to do so.
