Ballyridge Finn aiming to upset Loyal Trooper in A1 450m Flat at Poole
Ballyridge Finn needs just a slice of luck to upset the 9-4 favourite, Loyal Trooper, in the 450 metres Flat race at Poole on Tuesday, May 22nd. The black dog has run a couple of good races this month, but in defeat.
On May 6th, he missed the gold medal only by ½ a length. In his last appearance at Poole, D. Mitchell’s trainee was outsmarted by Droopys Harris, who secured the top position by one and a quarter lengths.
With two runner-up positions to his credit, Ballyridge Finn is determined to bag the victory tonight. An extra effort on his part will be enough to take him to the top spot on the table.
The punters don’t have much time to invest their money, as the party is about to begin. The Grade A1 event is set to start at 21:37 GMT. Competing for a cash prize worth £94 are: Loyal Trooper, Ballyridge Finn, Goldeneye, Fairhill Dawser, Bigwood Special
and Piercestown Sean.
Loyal Trooper is filled up with confidence following a recent success at Poole. In a 450 metres contest, the black b***h was mighty impressive. An early pace helped her put her rivals under tremendous pressure and seal the top rank quite comfortably.
Fairhill Dawser is not a safe option for the punters. In his last appearance, the black dog completed the order of finish. Bigwood Special is coming into this battle after a below par effort. However, she has an outside chance for the gold medal. At the
start of this month, the blue and brindle dog topped the chart by a couple of lengths.
Goldeneye also has a shout today. The dawn dog registered a wonderful win last week. Piercestown Sean also has a win to his credit, but does not exist in our shortlist.
Our calculations suggest that Ballyridge Finn is the only one with the chance of upsetting Loyal Trooper. However, if the latter performs to his potential, it will be mighty difficult for everyone to spring up a surprise. Let’s see how things proceed. Good
luck to everyone.
