Balmi Blue set to establish his supremacy in Hove Stayers
Hove is due to stage many high profile meetings on Thursday night, and the 695-metre Hove Stayers is one of them. Six quality runners have stepped into this battle in search of a cash prize worth £150.
The stage is set for Balmi Blue to bounce back after being trounced by Honeypound Joe last Sunday. The blue dog ran very well all the way through, but could not finish on a good note. As a result, he ended up second by 4½ lengths.
It was surely a terrible defeat for D. Mullins’ charge, who came to Hove after performing outstandingly at Romford. At the end of last month, the son of Duke Special won a 575 metres race by five and a half lengths.
He faced no trouble, when stepping up to 750 metres earlier this month. The dashing hound kept himself in the front row all the way through, seizing the top rank by half a dozen lengths. One should not judge him on his recent
outing, as he is worth another chance in a race of this nature.
Five speedy runners will try to stop him from winning and their names are as follows: Blonde Reagan, Lets Do This, Westmead Jules, Droopys Romy and Millstreet Scar.
It is an ideal draw for Lets Do This, who is set to start the show from the red box. In his last appearance at this track, he was triumphant by ¾ a length.
Westmead Jules will be trying to upset general predictions. It will be a herculean task for the black b***h, despite the fact that she won nicely at Romford earlier this month.
Droopys Romy needs to raise her game to get better of the selection. Millstreet Scar has got loads to prove in this sort of company. Blonde Reagan has above-average claims over this testing trip.
Lets Do This can make things a bit messy for Balmi Blue. Blonde Reagan is another powerful runner, but there will be tremendous pressure on him, as he makes his first appearance at this track. So, it is good to stick with Balmi
Blue, who knows how to win this kind of race. Good luck to all the runners.
