Italian national team manager, Cesare Prandelli, has given Euro 2012 green signal to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Cassano-c6302.
The Italian strike force for the European competitions is the topic of much discussion of late, with fears raised over the fitness of few of the first choice players for the country. Cassano and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Giuseppe-Rossi-c15027 were previously the
main strikers for Gli Azzurri, but the duo has faced a lengthy spell on the sidelines through injury. Although, Cassano has recovered from his heart surgery, the Villarreal striker is still struggling with his knee problem.
One of the other main options for the national team manager is Mario Balotelli; but the striker has not been favoured in the manager’s plans due to his short temperedness while playing for Manchester City this season.
However, after months of speculation, the tactician has finally shortlisted three of his strikers, and Balotelli is in Prandelli’s plans.
While talking to RAI television, Prandelli enthused:
“Have I made peace with Balotelli? Yes, although to be honest we never argued in the first place. I was pleased that he took responsibility with his statements after the latest incident at Manchester City. I like those who stand
up and accept responsibility for their actions. I never really thought of doing without Balotelli, as he is a firm point in this Nazionale.”
Prandelli has been juggling with the options available to him, and has used http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-c4710
Del Piero, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032.
However, in his recent interview, the manager has dimmed the chances of the veterans of getting selected.
“Francesco Totti and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Del-Piero-c4726? If I should find myself in an emergency situation with the team, I would call on the old champions. However, I have a project for Italy and it involves young players.”
The team for Euro 2012 is expected to be named next month. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011, in their first match on June 10th.
