Balotelli not getting banned for stomp on Song

Manchester City’s Mario Balotelli, will not face any further actions, following his stomp Arsenal’s Alex Song in a Premier League game this past weekend.
During the game against Arsenal, Balotelli was played on the left flank, as opposed to playing as a centre forward.
As a result, the attacker seemed to grow frustrated in the game and went on to start make some very violent lunges on the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 players.
One of these attacks saw him go studs up on Song’s knee. However, the referee didn’t stop the play, since it seemed like he didn’t see the incident, which was a clear red card offence.
However, no actions are now going to be taken against Balotelli, since the match official has claimed that he saw the challenge and didn’t think it was intentional.
As a result of these comments from the official, the FA can’t take any actions against the striker, since they can only rule against off the ball incidents or occurrences that the referee seem to have missed.
A statement on the FA's website read: "Retrospective action in relation to the incident involving http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-Song-c4804 of Arsenal, which occurred in the 20th minute of Sunday’s game, will not be taken.”
"Where at least one of the officials has seen the coming together of players retrospective action is not taken, regardless of whether they have seen the full extent of the challenge.”

"Retrospective action can only be taken in scenarios where none of the match officials saw the players coming together. The normal scenarios in which retrospective action is taken are for ‘off-the-ball’ incidents.”
Had the FA ruled against Balotelli, he could have missed out on as many as five games, with three games being the minimal ban that he would have received.
However, it is unclear what this ruling by the FA will do to the striker’s reputation at the club, since http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 has already gone on to hint that he could be willing to let the Italian leave, should a decent offer be made for him.
It is now a wait till the summers to see just what happens with Balotelli.
