Mario Balotelli’s agent has insisted that the striker wishes to remain in the Premier League and play for Manchester City, despite being banned for four games.
The FA have gone on to ban Balotelli for four games, after finding the player guilty of violent conduct.
The striker went on to stomp on Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Scott Parker’s head during the teams encounter this past weekend.
Balotelli went on to claim that his actions were accidental and that he had no intent to hurt Parker. However, the FA thought otherwise and went on to issue the striker with a four game ban.
Mino Raiola, the player’s representative had previously stated that the striker might be tempted to move away from the club, should he be fined by the FA.
Despite those claims, it now seems like Balotelli is more than happy with life at Etihad Stadium and is in no mood to walk out of the club.
Raiola, when talking about his client and his intentions is quoted to have said: "We are not [looking to move] - our understanding has been openly declared"
"He would love to stay in the Premier League for a long time and won't move this transfer window, for sure. It's not our intention, let that be clear.
"He [Balotelli] said, 'Obviously the people of Manchester United don't like me, which I can respect and understand but fans from all over the country like me and I like playing in England's stadiums. I'm starting to feel at home'."
However, Raiola went on to insist that if the player was to face more unreasonable fines and bans in the future, then he would seriously start to reconsider his position at the club.
Despite finally enjoying life at City and having fun playing for them, the player just won’t feel okay with being fined unreasonably time and time again.
What is quite surprising is the fact that Balotelli hasn’t gone ahead and pulled off another one of his signature stunts in protest.
As a result, not only can we assume the striker is looking forward to playing for City, but we can also assume that he has finally matured a little more over the last couple of months.
