Balti´s Sister having decent claims in the Black Country´s Only Racecourse Fillies´ Handicap at Wolverhampton
Despite being 5lb higher than when scoring here last month, Balti´s Sister has the best chance of capturing the first rank in the Black Country´s Only Racecourse Fillies´ Handicap, to be hosted by Wolverhampton on Monday, December 03, 2012.
Bidding to improve her record to 4-5 at this track, the Terry Clement-trained is fully determined to give her best shot. The 3-year-old was triumphant here last twice. On September 21st, she demonstrated an outstanding triumph in the 32Red.com
Handicap (Div II). By beating the 7-2 favourite, Amethyst Dawn, by half a length, she collected plenty of praise.
After securing a comfortable win here, she suffered a huge setback, when sent at Yarmouth in October. In the hands of Natasha Eaton, she got weakened a furlong before the wire, and eventually finished sixth in the Trafalgar Restaurant At Great Yarmouth Racecourse
Handicap.
The Mrs Michelle Smith-owned regained her momentum when returned here last month. In the Wolverhampton Celebrity Hairdressing Royston Blythe Handicap, she beat Green Mitas by two and a quarter lengths. Despite being seriously challenged in the final stages,
the filly did not lose rhythm, and retained advantage until the wire.
Having won her previous two starts here, the daughter of Tiger Hill is brimming with confidence. And there is no reason why she should not add another victory to her tally. Ebble could give her most to do.
Off a feasible mark on her handicap debut, the 3-year-old is in a good position to make an impact. On her previous venture here in October, the John Gosden-trained took a handsome ¾-length triumph. She knows this surface well, and will be a tough nut to
crack.
Including these two, nine horses have entered the meeting. They will be pursuing a prize of £2,386 over seven furlongs and 32 yards. The class-5 event is scheduled to begin at 17:00 GMT.
Avonrose is on a feasible mark, but needs to settle better and recapture spark. Morant Bay was third here latest, and would be having good prospects if building on that. Dubious Escapade is upped 3lb for her close second at Doncaster. Despite a rise, the
Ann Duffield-trained looks dangerous.
