Baltimore Orioles' manager Buck Showalter is happy about his team’s performance - MLB Update
Baltimore Orioles' manager Buck Showalter is happy about his team’s performance in the fourth game of their five-match American League Division Series between New York Yankees.
"I don't take for granted at any time what these guys are accomplishing so far, They know that. I have so much respect for our guys," Orioles' manager Buck Showalter said on his team’s overall performance which ousted the Yankees in great style.
The Orioles defeated the Yankees 2-1 on Thursday, October 11 at Yankee Stadium in New York and secured a guaranteed last game of ALDS.
Orioles’ knew before coming out at Yankees home-field that they have to win this game if they really fancy their chances to play the last game of the series.
Having all facts in mind, the Orioles pushed the Yankees hard and earned a great victory in the end. They did not let the Yankees’ batters or pitchers dominate them during the entire game and won in style.
Later in the game, team manager Buck Showalter, whose hard work led the Orioles into the post-season, praised his team and told the reporters in detail that the entire roster knew their responsibility before entering Yankee Stadium.
That was the same confidence and level of enthusiasm proved too good for the Yankees as they lost bitterly against the Baltimore Orioles.
"You know, we played an elimination game last week to start our postseason. I think we all got as much playoff experience as we need, especially considering how many times we've played them this year. And tonight was an elimination game and tomorrow will be another one," reliever Darren O'Day said the way their overpowered all the hurdles.
“There hasn't been a whole lot of opportunities to score runs, so when there are those opportunities, I think we're trying a little bit too hard," J.J. Hardy said on his team’s performance.
Meanwhile, many experts also believe that the way Orioles are playing in this offseason and especially in ALDS, chances are high that they can defeat the Yankees in their upcoming encounter.
