Baltimore Orioles: Looking for more in 2013 Major League Baseball season – MLB Feature
The Baltimore Orioles had an amazing 2012 Major League Baseball season. The team managed to surprise many with their dominating style of play. The fact the team managed to beat the Texas Rangers in the Wild Card game and face the New York Yankees in the
American League Division Series was enough for most fans.
Having made it to the postseason with an impressive 93-69 win-loss record was nothing to joke about. The Orioles worked hard all season long. Many baseball experts were surprised to see how well the Orioles played as a team. Their bullpen was amazing this
year as player like Jim Johnson, Fernando Rodney and Luis Ayala all led from the front.
Although the Orioles lost to the Yankees in the ALDS 3-2, they showed many exactly what they were made of. The team is looking like a serious contender for the upcoming 2013 MLB regular season. Sitting in the AL East Division with powerhouse teams like the
New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Rays make their 2012 postseason journey all the more special.
As the 2013 MLB regular season approaches the Baltimore Orioles will be looking to continue with their success and come out swinging. Most teams, having seen the Orioles performance from the 2012 season, will not be taking the team lightly. They are definitely
contenders next year and the early part of the 2013 regular season will decide just how dominating they will be.
Players like Nick Markakis, Brian Matusz, Nate McLouth, Adam Jones, J. J. Hardy and others all had a very decent season. The fact that the Orioles can come together and play as a team is what makes them effective. Instead of relying on star power like the
Yankees or Red Sox, the Orioles are a very well balanced team. In baseball, the more balanced the team, the less likely a club will feel the effects of player injuries. This aspect is very important as the long and arduous regular season is looming.
The 2013 MLB regular season will most probably see the Orioles sitting either at the top or in the second spot of the AL West Division. The only real issue will be the mighty New York Yankees which have the experience and fire power to turn the tides in
a minute. It will be an uphill task for the Orioles if they are going to try to make it to the postseason next year. For the fans nothing would be better than seeing their team battle it out against the Yankees and possibly going all the way to the World Series.
If last season is anything to go by, the Orioles are looking good for an impressive show in 2013. They will be hoping their players stay fit and healthy during Spring Training as they get ready for the regular season. It will not be a surprise to anyone
to see the Orioles topping the charts during the 2013 MLB season as they have proven their worth on the field.
The fans and the team will be hoping that they can continue their winning momentum and carry it in to Spring Training as they battle it out with some of the Major League’s finest. It will be exciting to see just how well the Orioles manage to win and quite
possibly go even further in the postseason. Look out for some surprises from the Baltimore Orioles in 2013.
