Baltimore Orioles will play against New York Yankees in ALDS – MLB Update
Baltimore Orioles now will play against the New York Yankees in American League Division Series after defeating Texas Rangers 5-1 in Wild Card game on Friday at Rangers Ballpark in Texas.
Baltimore Orioles’ thumped Texas Rangers hard and earned a postseason spot with great energy. Their entire roster showed great temperament and rattled the Rangers with big focus.
Orioles are going into the playoffs with a 93-69 win-loss record and .574 winning percentage. Their performance has remained consistent during the entire regular season and now they will be facing Yankees in the ALDS with more fire power.
Their entire roster including the management is happy on their team’s achievement and expressing in detail about their chances against the Yankees.
After playing with Rangers and defeating them with great hammering, many Orioles' players also expressed their feelings and told the media in detail.
“We knew with the win tonight we were going to have fun, but back to business over the weekend with the Yankees, We know them, they know us. We split with them during the year. We’ve got a big game on Sunday night at Camden Yards. I’m sure the place is going to be rocking and our fans will finally get to see a postseason game at Camden Yards,” first baseman Mark Reynolds said on his team’s brilliant performance which proved too good for their opponents.
Later first-year executive vice president of baseball operations Dan Duquette also commented on his team’s performance that showed a great combined effort. He said, “This is a terrific moment, this is a terrific moment for Baltimore. This is a terrific moment for the owners, the fans, the players, hats off to everybody.”
According to many experts and sports journalists, Baltimore Orioles’ performance against the Texas Rangers was brilliant as they did not gave any chance to them to bounce back in the match.
Orioles’ went early into lead and remained their calm during the later stages of the game. Though at middle of the game, the Texas side tried to come back but they just could not match the Orioles brilliance and their offensive prowess.
