Baltimore Ravens’ LB Terrell Suggs firmly believes in November return -NFL News
Amid the number of risks and setbacks associated with the torn Achilles tendon, return of Baltimore Ravens’ linebacker, Terrell Suggs, from the injury by his anticipated timeline of November is seen as an ambitious hope but Suggs says he is set to shock
those who believe it cannot happen.
Suggs said he has a partly torn achilles tendon and would return to the team by November maximum.
Other people including coach, John Harbaugh, are cautious to back his view, saying it is a normal practice for the players with such injuries to speculate their earlier than possible return.
The supporting point to their argument, as they themselves note, is that the player is yet to have the final opinion of doctors, who should determine the timeframe for his rehab and return.
Contrary to their view, the LB remains with a firm belief that he could return to the squad by his earlier described date – the month of November.
He said:
"I'm going to shock a lot of people when I'm coming out of that tunnel. I'm in a boot already working on flexibility, getting back that range of motion. Next week, we're going to start a little walking and working side to side."
Irrespective of the opposite opinion, Suggs’ comeback within the stipulated timetable should come as good news for the team.
Ravens have suffered another setback on the LB position as Mike McAdoo is out of the entire 2012 season with the same injury.
As a matter of fact, he had been brought in as a cover for Suggs and unluckily became a victim of the similar circumstances.
The only difference in the injuries of the two players is that Suggs’ is partly torn Achilles tendon while McAdoo’s injury is in full scale.
Even though McAdoo has already had a surgery to treat the problem, his recovery and return timeframe is entirely different.
Ravens will be happy to have Suggs back anytime during the season if the month of November is out of possibility. His participation in any number of games is now more sort of a bonus for the team.
