Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco gets an outside opinion being strongest in league – NFL news
Some quiet days and then Joe Flacco is back in the headlines but this time it is due to an outside game analyst who has rated Baltimore Ravens’ quarterback as one of the strongest QBs in the National Football League (NFL).
This should make Joe walk even taller and add another feather to his self-rating of being the number one quarterback in the league, which he had done lately during the offseason.
No doubt the QB has one of the strongest arms in the league, according to Ron Jaworski, an ESPN analyst, and this probably makes him one of the best on the scene.
Jaworski writes:
"That's Flacco's No. 1 attribute. I get so tired of hearing how arm strength is overrated. It's far more important than people think. He has the strongest arm in the NFL."
The analyst adds:
"The element always overlooked by those who minimize arm strength is the willingness of quarterbacks like Flacco to pull the trigger. Few recognize that because there is no quantifiable means by which to evaluate throws that are not made
by quarterbacks with lesser arm strength. It's all about dimensions. Flacco gives you the ability to attack all areas of the field at any point in the game."
One of the problems that QB has confronted during his career is his inconsistency. This could be down to the reason that his team has not focused their offence as much as they did the defence.
Flacco himself has often complained of being ignored in the credit-giving by his managers. It often required many statements to attract his managers’ attention to give him credit for the team’s victories as much as they gave it to their
defensive players.
Irrespective of the past, Flacco’s future looks better given the player now has a fulltime coach to train and groom him.
Jim Caldwell, who is credited to have groomed players like Peyton Manning, says he has great plans for the QB. He said he does not see the QB as another Manning, adding each player has a talent and set of skills different to others and
his plan for Flacco will focus the player’s own abilities.
