Baltimore Ravens appear to be on the course – NFL Feature
The Baltimore Ravens have made it to the playoffs and beyond for four consecutive times in last four years. No other team has achieved this exclusive feat, but all the efforts were not worth as much that the team can take a pride in.
It certainly is a job well done, to have finished as one of the best among four teams in the American Football Conference (AFC) North division, and it is rather unfortunate that they could not progress as far as Super Bowl game.
That was past again, and the team appears to have diverted that course this year. It has rather found a new course, and looks consistent on it so far. While the reasons of deviation from their traditional course will be discussed later, it is a welcome change
of trends in the team.
The team has been on top of AFC North and if stays atop, another playoffs is awaiting them. There are greater than ever chances that they progress to Super Bowl game, and could come as title winners this time.
It is pertinent to mention that the team has done something to their traditional strategy that they appear to be reaping benefits out of it. They obviously relied too many times on their defence, and the strategy at the end failed them at crucial junctures.
Now this year they decided to strike a balance on both positions, defensive and offensive lines. The team has hired a specialist coach for offence leader quarterback Joe Flacco and for other quarterbacks, and Flacco has proved that with little attention
and admiration how well he can perform into the team wins.
He has been star of the show in most of the team’s wins and appears to be unstoppable so far. If he continues to thrive on good form and pace, the Ravens have the ability to remove all hurdles in their way to achieve the goal of Super Bowl game.
Flacco has boated to have been enjoying run offence under supervision of coach Jim Caldwell. The only thing that can prevent Flacco from exploiting his potential on the offensive line is his contract. His current deal is set to expire at the end of this
season and if Ravens somehow delay negotiation of fresh terms or if there is a disagreement between the parties on subjects as payout, the player might find himself in a difficult situation and that can affect his form as well.
He had already threatened to go on holdout during the offseason but then returned to action unconditionally without any problem.
