Baltimore Ravens back Terrell Suggs versus Washington Redskins, LB game-time call – NFL News
The Baltimore Ravens have fully backed return of linebacker Terrell Suggs for Sunday’s game versus the Washington Redskins, although the player who suffered a bicep injury in the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday December 02 has been left a
game-time call.
Suggs who himself confirmed his injury to be a torn biceps a couple of days earlier said they have decided to see how the recovery progresses through the week and then decide just before the game if he is able to play.
The LB said:
"We kind of live by the creed of, if you can breathe then you can play. We just got to check it out. We got to see how it holds up throughout the week. (It will) definitely be a game-time decision on Sunday."
His teammates meanwhile have backed him for the weekend’s return to action. They believe that because of Terrell’s dominating figure his presence on the field makes a good impression on the opponents.
Ravens defensive tackle Terrence Cody said of Suggs:
“The guy is really tough. He came off an Achilles. Now, he's got this injury. You really find out about guys in situations like this. It means something to him. It's always good to have a guy like that on the team that's going to play through everything,
loves to play football."
Suggs disclosed earlier this week that he had suffered a biceps injury but did not give details since results of the latest scans were awaited then. He later confirmed it to be a torn biceps muscle, which could force him out on the sideline for a game as
minimum.
He showed up along the teammates during the midweek practice but did not take a part in real sense. He nevertheless has set hope for full return by the weekend. It is to be seen if he is able to practise on Friday and that should determine chances of his
participation.
This is the second time this season that Suggs has suffered an injury scare. His partially torn Achilles tendon that he had suffered during the offseason cost him six weeks in the regular season since its start in September.
