Baltimore Ravens beat Cleveland Browns 24-10 in Week 13 Sunday game – NFL Recap
It came all too easy for the Baltimore Ravens at the end to inflict a comprehensive defeat on the struggling Cleveland Browns with comparatively less margin of 24-10 at Lakefront Stadium on Sunday, 4th December.
The defeat margin could have been wider and higher but the Ravens kept playing on the Browns who, despite frustration of their wide receiver Josh Cribbs of always being on the losing side, are yet to find answers to their vows.
Cribbs said last week that he did not know when his side will start winning and catching up on the teams like the Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals.
Ravens' Ray Rice, Ricky Williams and Lardarius Webb starred in the Sunday’s showdown by their side against the embarrassed Browns' side. Rice was particularly on the go on the day; he rushed for his career record 204 yards. This
included 67 yards on a momentum-swinging flow. He with Williams had two short touchdowns runs, while Webb returned 68 yards punt which was converted into a touchdown by the Ravens.
With racking up 290 yards the Baltimore Ravens were in a such control of their game that Joe Flacco, their quarterback, took a knee three times for running out final two minutes to closing of the game. Had the Ravens not toyed
with the Browns, the defeat margin could have been much higher.
"They just flat-out whupped us up front," said Browns linebacker D'Qwell Jackson, who had 12 tackles. "They embarrassed us. It was a slap in the face. This is unacceptable."
The win has helped the Ravens to keep them atop in the race with the American Football Conference (AFC) north division leader Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers who beat the Bengals on the past Sunday are tied 9-3 with the Ravens
on the points table.
The Browns have lost the fifth game in the total six they have played during current season. Their quarterback Colt McCoy was again made a subject to take pounding as his side kept on losing. He also injured his knee in the game.
Meanwhile their wider receiver Josh Cribbs, who had been stating all along that he had become fed up of hearing of the so called rebuilding of his side while they keep losing, said he did not have an answer to the question that
when the Browns would be back on the winning ways.
"I don't know what it's going to take," he said. "I am not the coach or the general manager. All I can do is play."
The Browns are facing another tough challenge this week, only a couple of days after losing to the Ravens. They are playing the AFC north division leader Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night.
