Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh for better road-game wins record by his side – NFL News
Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh has backed his side to improve their road-game wins record, a timely advice for the side that is going into playoff season for fourth straight times.
Having maintained a hundred per cent record in their home wins, the Ravens managed three wins on road this season. They have played eight home games winning all of them, while their road wins are three and losses four.
"I think we've got a good routine. It's proven," he said. "We're going to try play better than we have in the games we didn't win on the road. That's the main thing. Obviously, turnovers were the main factor in some of those games. Those are the things that
will be our focus -- the things you have to do to win a game, whether you're at home or on the road."
Harbaugh refuted the impression if the team was falling short in preparation while going into their road games. He said they were equally good in readiness for their home and road games.
The Ravens head into the final week of the National Football League (NFL) regular season with their road game against the Cincinnati Bengals to be played in the Cincinnati on January 01, 2011.
The win will crown them as the American Football Conference (AFC) north champions. However, the biggest benefit of the win for the Ravens will be having a home game in the playoff, which could compensate them for their weakness of performing well in away
games. The coach said that they were very much focused on the Bengals game with an aim of winning it.
Harbaugh’s piece of advice for his side follows an optimism expressed from their linebacker Terrell Suggs over their chances to make it to Super Bowl this year.
The player has even opted out of the Pro Bowl event to remain with his side in preparations for Super Bowl that is to be held a week after Pro Bowl.
With this season’s playoff the Ravens will become the only side in the league to play the second round of the National Football League for consecutive fourth years.
However, all their previous efforts have gone into vain. They have not been successful in getting through to Super Bowl.
They get yet another chance this year and there are greater hopes for them to play Super Bowl event. It is yet to be seen how well they go against the Bengals this Sunday.
