Baltimore Ravens concern about LB Terrell Suggs’ triceps injury, Ray Lewis still out – NFL News
A second opinion from doctors is going to confirm status of linebacker Terrell Suggs' torn triceps injury after Baltimore Ravens star performer in a startling disclosure on Monday December 03 said he suffered the injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers on
Sunday (Dec. 02), although the team was yet to make a final statement on the issue until filing of this report.
The LB is set to miss at least a couple of weeks if the injury is confirmed. It is the second time in the season that the player has suffered a serious injury blow. Earlier, he missed initial few games due to a partially torn Achilles tendon injury that
he had suffered under disputed circumstances during the offseason.
Since the team has not confirmed the injury and current of the player, it is hard to tell exactly how much time the player will be taking for the rehab and return to action. In view of the recent record of the player that he recovered from the Achilles tendon
injury ahead than schedule, he might make a surprise return again this time. However, nothing can be said as final and decisive until the latest doctors’ opinion is received by the team and they come out with an official version of the development.
It nevertheless is a serious blow to the Ravens and that too at an important juncture of the season. Although the Ravens are still in control of American Football Conference (AFC) North, their recent loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers has rather taken aback
the coach and managers. It is significant to note that they have refused to budge because of the loss but it is certainly going to make them rethink their strategy.
Suggs’ injury might also weigh in because another linebacker Ray Lewis is out with a high sprained ankle scare. Although recently the player and quarters concerning him have speculated his return by mid of this month, it is not a firm view of an expert that
can be taken as a guarantee.
The Ravens can only hope that Suggs does not suffer so that their defensive line is not that much affected, which stands depleted because of ousting of Suggs and Lewis.
