Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrel Suggs hopeful of his side playing Super Bowl this year – NFL News
The Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrel Suggs is very much hopeful about his side making it to Super Bowl this year, which will be their first in last four straight playoffs under their coach John Harbaugh.
It is rather unfortunate for Suggs that his side has played four consecutive playoff seasons but every year they ended up going down in the second round after having played well into the regular National Football League (NFL) season.
The linebacker however is optimistic about playing the Super Bowl event by his side this year. This is the reason that he has opted out of the Pro Bowl event.
He said that the Ravens will be busy in practice in the week after the week of Pro Bowl and he wanted to be with his side in preparation for Super Bowl.
He is the first player choosing to be dropped out of the event only due to preparation for Super Bowl, according to his side.
"I have no intentions of playing in the Pro Bowl," Suggs said. "I plan on being in practice with my teammates getting ready for the Super Bowl."
Few moments later to his confirmation for his fifth Pro Bowl by the National Football League, he said that he will not be playing in the vent to be held in Hawaii a week before the Super Bowl. Super Bowl event is scheduled to be held in the Indianapolis
later in the January next year (2012).
The Ravens with seven are leading in the Pro Bowl representatives along with Patriots and 49ers with eight each representative.
Suggs Ravens with the score of 11-4 are almost confirmed for the playoff this season. However, the win in their last game will also give the side a bye in the first round of the playoff. In additional, they will be the American Football Conference (AFC)
north champions.
The side heads into the final week of the NFL with their last game against the Cincinnati Bengals to be played in the Cincinnati on January 01, 2011.
It is yet to be seen if they are able to pull off a win in the road game. Despite that the Ravens have maintained almost 100 per cent record in their home wins, their performance in road games remains below the mark.
However, if they are able to win against the Bengals in their last road game of the season, they will get a home game in their playoff season. This can serve them well in their linebacker’s hopes of playing the Super Bowl this year.
