Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs game-time call versus Denver Broncos – NFL News
Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs said he is a game-time call versus the visiting Denver Broncos this Sunday (Dec.16) and strongly rejected suggestions questioning his ability to make himself available for three remaining games of the season.
This is second straight week that the middle linebacker has remained limited in practice but as per update around his chances of playing versus the Broncos, he said he will know his status just before the start the game.
Suggs said:
“It was a must-win game [and] I thought I’d hinder the team by playing last week. But I feel good this week and we’ll just have to see come Sunday. If I’m able to play, I’ll be pretty anxious. But it all comes down to how it feels on Sunday.”
Suggs tore his right biceps in the game versus the Pittsburgh Steelers two weeks ago. He went on then to miss the Washington Redskins game last week, although there were some reports he might be added to the squad.
After having remained limited in practice the entire past week, he was again kept restricted in training this Wednesday. On Thursday (Dec. 13) he updated his status to be a game-time decision. If shows up for a workout on Friday, it might determine his chances
clearly.
He said he is feeling a little better and will see how he progresses rest of week. He however strongly snubbed suggestions that the season is over for him.
He added:
“There are a lot of side factors when you’re playing in a football game. Like I said, come Sunday, we’ll just have to see.”
During his absence over past two weeks, the Ravens have lost their both games, holding themselves just on edge of the playoffs. They face the Denver Broncos in another crucial tie of the season. Although the Ravens maintain a perfect home record against
the Broncos, the depleted defence line is a big worry for them. They just do not have Suggs out but other star linebacker Ray Lewis is also on the sideline with triceps injury.
