Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice speaks of his frustration over less workload – NFL News
Baltimore Ravens' running back star Ray Rice has finally spoken up of his frustration for having less workload in the current regular season of National Football League (NFL).
The Ravens lost their last Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks 22-17 and Rice apparently looked frustrated. He however refused to talk to reporters then, and finally speaking up now about his frustration over having less carries.
Ray is believed to be one of the top running backs in the NFL, the premier American football league. He is expecting to be utilized more by the Ravens. However, in three of the total nine games that the franchise has played he has less than 10 carries. This
includes the Ravens game against Seahawks.
"I'm never going to be a guy who talks about touches, but obviously, we know going into a game that five carries is not going to cut it," Rice said, according to the Carroll County Times. "You look at it, and I know five carries is not going to do it, but
we find ourselves so deep in a situation that we have to climb our way out. And we were looking for answers."
The player in total has 138 carries to his credit while playing for the Ravens in the American Football Conference (AFC) North division in the current season. He is considerably down from 165 rushes if compared with the year 2010. Having remained silent
last week he has finally complained of getting less workload.
Explaining his reason for not speaking up soon after the game, he said that he was frustrated because of their loss. He added that he thinks as a professional and did not let his emotions carried him away, and that he wanted to give a measure answer of his
frustration rather than getting emotional.
Ravens are reining at 6-3 in the AFC North division along with Cincinnati Bengals, whom they hosting for one of the crucial ties this weekend. They have already managed to regroup themselves to emerge as team to beat in the division despite being unpredictable.
They have recorded some big wins such as beating Steelers twice and New York Jets. They have fell short against rather lightweight teams such as Jacksonville Jaguars and Seattle Seahawks.
