Baltimore Ravens say ready up against tougher 2012 NFL season schedule-NFL News
The Baltimore Ravens are upbeat about their preparations for one of the toughest seasons awaiting them as per the schedule announced by the National Football League, recently.
Ravens made it to playoffs for the last four consecutive seasons and the management is equally hopeful of playing the postseason this year.
To achieve the feat once again, they will have to make a harder push this year as they are going to be up against reigning and former Super Bowl champions.
Also, they will be playing against the Pro Bowl quarterbacks more than any other team. They have a game each against Peyton Manning and his younger brother, Eli Manning.
This is the reality that Ravens’ players are said to be aware of and believed to be well capable of overcoming the challenge successfully.
Cornerback, Lardarius Webb, who has recently been handed over an expensive $50 million deal, said of the challenge:
"It's a tough schedule, but it's a schedule for the Baltimore Ravens. It's a schedule they always give us because they know that we can take that schedule. We're ready for it. It makes us work a little harder."
The Baltimore Ravens are coming out in the 2012 NFL season as the American Football Conference (AFC) North champions.
Given that Ravens are the only team to have made it to playoffs for last four successive seasons and won playoff game twice, they have the potential to successfully make it to the playoffs this year too.
Ravens also had a hundred percent home record last year, but were seen slightly below the mark in the road games. Their loss of the AFC championship game to the New England Patriots into very last minute was particularly rueful.
However, there is a great difference in the side this year as compared to their previous runs as they are coming out with a stronger offensive line. Although their leading QB remains to be Joe Flacco, the management has added strength on the backup positions.
Since hiring of quarterbacks’ coach, Jim Caldwell, the team has switched its focus on offence as much as they had been doing on the defence, traditionally.
