Recent Q & A has not been helpful. Have you actually hit with one? What's with the "recommended for batting practice/cages"? Good for competition? Durable?

  1. They hurt like h**l.  I was chewing gum in Singapore and they whipped me good with one of their Bamboo bats

  2. I've never used one, but it will be durable.  the grain runs the length of the bat so splinters and shattering is not on issue.

  3. I had one but my pet Panda got a hold of it so I couldn't tell you anything. I do have a balsa wood bat that I haven't tried yet and I'm sure that will one will work great.

  4. i play baseball, and some guys on my team use it, some of the reason because it is very durable probably most durable than all type of bats (  even with composite probably ) and its 90 day warranty.

i have hit with one once, i didnt like i feel, but hey, im a composite man

so you may like a bambo

also very good for competition if needed

  5. i do and i don't like the bamboo bats... they have a nice 3 month warranty on them tho.. i do like them because they have more give then a maple bat in my opinion... i have broken 5 bamboo bats so i don't know about sturdiness... but overall great bat... but if i were you i would buy a demarini composite... they're AMAZING!

  6. The risk of Panda Bear attacks on batters greatly increases while using Bamboo bats.

  7. I've used bamboo in a men's league for two years now.  They're recommended for batting practice and cages because the strength of bamboo is much stronger than that of ash or maple.  Although, the bats are made of several pieces of bamboo and laminated.  I have seen them flake off but not nearly as much as an ash bat.  Regarding performance, I don't notice much of a difference. I do think they take wear and tear than ash or maple.  I hope that helps.
