Question:

Bamboo help!?!?!?!?!?

My little bamboo plant that sits on the window sill has turned yellow on one half. This happened relatively fast, although I'm not quite sure when it started. If I turn it one way it's green, the other way it's yellow. If I only turn it 90 degrees there's a perfect line, green - then all of a sudden yellow. I don't know anything about bamboo, does anyone out there know what's going on? Please help!

  1. i have learned through experience that bamboo doesn't like full sun ,they should get diffuse sunlight or bright shade.i had one in a pot that looked sickly and i put it on the porch away from direct light,it made all the difference............tom

  2. Bamboo dose not like sun, bright light but not sun.

Two of the most common factors are 1.) too much direct sunlight; and 2.) too salty or heavily-flouridated tap water. Give your new Lucky Bamboo a thriving start be sure to keep it away from direct sunlight, and water only with filtered or natural spring water.
