Bamboo plant continues to loose leaves.?

Question

all of a sudden it just started to loose color and leaves started to decay. i changed nothing the only thing i see is that the roots have a layer of like that seaweed mossy stuff. is that a non permieable layer covering the bomboo from getting its nutrients or am i supposed to leave that their and not all the bamboos end up surviving no matter what

Too much water; bamboo doesn't need much, try not watering for a while and see if it perks up again.

maybe you need to change the water. and rocks

take it out of the container wash the roots,rocks,jar,then you put  it in the middle of the jar,then you place the rocks in,then you add the water but only to cover the rocks that way there is enough water for it ,when this water go down you fill it to the top of the rocks again,and do not  wait for all the water to dry out , if it gets green again wash it again and it means  the spot you have it in is to hot for it...
