  1. have used both successfully.  of course not in same prep @ same time.  depends on what kind of cake i am making which i use.  my family seems to like bananas best.  in your case i would choose the banananananana - oh yeah, one banana & and a little extra baking powder helps with fluff.  good luck!  :)

  2. i would say applesauce. it is closer to the texture of eggs and will be easier to mix. : )

  3. Applesauce has long been the accepted choice.

    1/4 cup per egg.

  4. Applesauce, 1/4 cup per egg. Bananas will make the cake a lot more dense and won't have the acid necessary to activate the baking soda.

  5. Applesauce definitly I dont think it will change up the flavor of your cake as much as a banana would. ALTHOUGH, choc-straw-banana sounds dreamy :)

  6. Applesauce because it has a milder flavor and most likely won't change the flavor of the cake.

  7. applesauce.

    =]

  8. applesauce is used for an oil substitue not eggs but i would try that

  9. Applesauce! However, you know what is better than that? Soda! Any flavor! The flavoring cooks out! It makes the cake rise and have a smooth, rich texture. It is used in place of eggs and even milk! I always used like 10 or 11 ounces (a couple ounces more than 1 cup) to replace milk and eggs. If you are just replacing eggs than I would say probably like 4 ounces less.

  10. Buy egg substitute it is a vegetable oil product. It is called

eggbeaters. If you use applesauce or bananas they are

usually used as a sub. for fats and tend to make your cake

soft and moist. The measurement conversation is on the

    side of the box.
