Question:

Bananas - yuck on the fruit - good/bad?

When you peel back a banana - and there are brown mushy areas - are these actually safe to eat? My husband eats them all the time, but I'm overly cautious with my 2 yr old. Also, when the banana looks "wet" on the top part (I don't know how to describe it) - it's like smooshier and shinier than the rest of the part - is that safe too? Thanks.

  1. Bananas are very high in potassium and highly nutritious.  The brown

spots on the banans are just starting to get a little overripe and are

    safe to eat.

  2. Uh, it's just fine.  I eat them all the time too and am perfectly okay and your two year old will be fine.  It's just bruised a little, nothing big, just a different texture.
