  1. wow , i finished band camp weeks ago, but jus have fun and concentrate(sp) on wat ur doin and on your marching technique. dnt be afraid to ask older pple for help and work with everyone, oh and wear sunscreen u will burn if u dont!

  2. Bring LOTS of water, wet wipes and extra deoderant, mints, and maybe an extra shirt in case you get really sweaty.  Wear comfortable shoes, put your hair up, and think about wearing a hat to keep the sun off.  Light colored clothing helps, too, and you might need bug spray depending on how late you're outside and where you live.

Keep quiet the first day or two to figure out who's in charge and what to do, and look to your section leader and drum majors for direction.  Ask for help if needed and pay attention to what's going on around you.  A set book (small notebook that you can wear around your neck or keep in a pocket) can also help you get the choreography right, and make sure you are on time.

Hook up with someone else who doesn't know what they're doing and you can figure it out together.  Most of the kids in band are pretty nice and don't mind helping out new people.

    Have fun, and good luck!

  3. gah. band camp is so g*y. that's coming from me a senior trombone player...we just got done with our week at kent state university, don't worry about it, most kids have so much fun doin it. the best thing to do is to not take anything very seriously. (it worked for me) heh. work when you need to work...but don't be afraid to goof off or make a joke =] good luck
