Band Of Blood set to shine at Limerick – Flat Race Preview
Band Of Blood looks to be at advantage to add one more glorious victory to his portfolio by finishing first in Munster Inh Flat Race which is scheduled to be held at Limerick racecourse on Monday, March 19.
The high-stakes contest of 2m distance will begin at 4:40 (GMT). The total prize money for the event is €5,520.
The P. M. J. Doyle-trained bay gelding is geared up to compete against Ballyadeen, Banana Flambe, Caspartino, Fruits Of Gold, Green Hornet, Kauto Grand Mogol, Sizing Sahara, Stimulus Package, Texas Tea and Miss Conception.
In just two races of his career, the novice runner has proved his inherent skills and talent properly. Making his debut on February 5, 2012, the maverick horse marvellously clinched runners-up position in the very first outing.
The brilliant gelding sustained his winning momentum and moved forward to make a huge upset by winning his very next race on February 19.
Interestingly, the young and talented runner earned favourite tags in both these starts. He is going to run today again as a hot favourite horse.
Band Of Blood contains a hot blood in his veins coupled with a lot of confidence. In today’s context, he will surely be able to show a big run and dominate his rivals convincingly.
The gelding’s chances to thrive are more than 90 percent. Though none of his opponents looks to be capable enough to challenge him, but Caspartino and Kauto Grand Mogol are likely to perform well in the race.
Caspartino elegantly won the first and last race of his career at Punchestown on February 12, 2012. The four-year-old novice gelding finished first against 9 runners.
This victory proved to be a big morale booster for the trainee of Martin Brassil. Currently, the horse is packed with enthusiasm.
On the other hand, Kauto Grand Mogol accomplished runners-up rank in the only outing of his career on February 22, 2012. The Miss Elizabeth Doyle-trained bay gelding thrived against 7 rivals. He too possesses plenty of form at this stage.
In this situation, there is expected to be a rip-roaring competition at Limerick track. However, success seems to be falling in the lap of Band Of Blood. Good luck to all the horses.
