Band camp help!!!! first time!

I play trumpet, and like i dot want to be the ONLY girl like i was in class during middle school! But i am so scared because i dont know anyone except for percussion players but they go at a different time! And im shy......Im afraid that someoes gonna make fun of me or something, and im just scared of band camp!! Hellllppppp!!! plz!!

First of all, don't worry about being the only girl.

My best friend is a girl, and she plays trumpet section of all guys.  She still enjoys playing, even though she doesn't like being the only girl, she is still friends with all of us.

You are a trumpet player, you should not be worried about other people making fun of you.

Don't be so shy, and just go and play your instrument.

Have some balls (metaphorically speaking that is).

Regarding clothes, wear somethign comfortable, and light.  

Don't worry about how you look, because after hours of sweating in the sun, you'll be glad you chose comfort over style, trust me.

And besides, you are going to be with a bunch of band geeks, you don't have to worry about being dorky.

your outfit sounds fine.. dont worry bout looking dorky.. worry bout keeping cool.. there will be tons of new people learning just like you. ive done band camp for three years and had a blast.. just work hard.. if you need help talk to an upperclassmen or your drum major.. talk about music or marching.. it helps ease you into a conversation.. dont worry so much.. im sure you'll do great

don't worry, you probably won't be the only girl trumpet. you'll meet new people fast. and as long as your pants are shorts and you bring a water bottle you'll make it.

you don't want to get heat stroke or anything. i'm in band myself and go back for band camp tomorrow too. i'm gonna be a junior, so i know what i'm saying here. band kids in high school are different mostly and nice.
