what do i need to get a band going

You have to find people with the same music interests. Tell your friends so they can also tell their friends and so on. If your serious, set up flyers. You need a place to practice, probably a garage or basement. You need to have drums and amplifiers - You have to work something out by yourself or with your bandmates. Practice alot and make your talent known but don't be a showoff. - If you are really good, other bands might want you. - That worked for me

put up flyers around your school and hangouts and maybe if u got enough money put an add in  the paper and word will probably spread hope i helped!

get a collaboration get instruments make lyrics be creative and original good luck with your band make it epic
