Question:

Bandolero Cars Vs. Legends Cars racing?

I am fourteen years old and I love to race. I have been racing a kart for a year or two but it doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Me and my dad have decided to make the switch to ovals. My question is, knowing that I will be beaten just about everywhere I go at first, with little experience on ovals should I go to bandolero cars or legends cars? I know bandolero cars are for beginners (but as far as making a name for myself getting beaten by kids who are four or five years younger then me isn't a good way to start) so I would like your opinion. Thank you.

  1. Start with banoleros, first, and work your way up. it's a tad easier than running legends and still less expensive. After you think that you've gotten all you can from that class, then step up. You don't want to start in a class to far over your head. if so, you could give up too easily. having some success in Bandoleros will give you more confidence for the next step. It's about experience and confidence. If you don't have confidence, you probably not get very far.

  2. i say if your goin to spend the money on a bandolaro get a legend car trust me theres an 12 year old kid at my track who races legends and hge does really good. get the legend cat there faster and more of a challenge

  3. Bandoleros aren't exactly for beginners anymore. Classes for drivers over 18 are becoming more popular. They look like fun to drive and are basically just an overgrown fancy go kart with a body on it. They aren't cheap (around $8,000 last time I looked) and repairing fiberglass body work is something you'll need to get good at. I would definitely get into a Bandolero before a Legends car. You could probably get a few years out of it if it doesn't get wrecked.
