Before the one day series formally starts in Nottingham on Thursday, 8th July, Mortaza’s men played two warm up matches against Sussex and Middlesex. Though the Bangali Tigers were crushed by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Jahurul-Islam-c1624 and Imrul Kayes as the 143-run stand between the two players bagged the tourists a 141-runs victory. Kayes’s 77 off 92 deliveries supported by Jahurul’s 88 of 93 deliveries laid the platform for a formidable 301-7.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Junaid-Siddique-c1749’s drive to the mid-on off Evan’s delivery went into the hands of Roland-Jones. Siddique also impressed with his test performance last month but failed this time and left the crease after playing a short innings of 10 runs from 12 balls.
Jahurul Islam who came after Siddique’s dismissal was magnificent with the bat. Jahurul, who made his test debut in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hasan-c61990, replaced by Mortaza, made 38 off 32 balls. Bangali Tigers set a competitive target of 301 in 50 overs losing its seven wickets only.
The bowling of hosts failed to threaten the opposition batting line. Evan remained the most successful bowler as he took 3 wickets conceding 51 runs in his 10 over spell.
Like its bowling, the home team failed to bother the visitors with the bat as well. Seven of the Middlesex’s players could not enter the double figure. Two out of these seven were not allowed by the Bangali bowlers to open the account even.

Middlesex’s second wicket fell at the score of 12 when Shafiul Islam sacked Jackson Thompson in 3.5 overs. Even Owais Shah’s 61 runs from 72 balls could not help the hosts run off the defeat. All the home team was out in 39.3 overs at the score of 160. Shafiul Islam was the most successful and economical bowler as he took 3 wickets conceding just 31 runs off his nine overs spell.
Though the Middlesex came up with a second-string squad but the victory would boost the confidence of Mortaza’a men in their coming ODI series against England.
